Lucas Lee-Tyson: From Dorm Room Freelance Jobs to Building and Managing His Own Digital Marketing Agency – – VENTS Magazine

Failing a few business ventures at first before finally getting things together, Lucas Lee-Tyson shares his struggles on his journey into realizing his current online success.

One common mistake most aspiring business entrepreneurs make is gathering as much research data as possible in hopes of learning multiple business techniques, styles, and approaches as they can. Another common mistake many of them commit is focusing on one business model even though it’s not working for them only to end up failing. One business intellectual went through the same paths before discovering the right business model for him. Initially working with a few digital advertising side projects inside his college dorm room, Lucas Lee-Tyson grew his business into a multi-client digital marketing consultancy and agency.

Grinding at an early age to break away from his regular 9 to 5 office job, Lucas Lee-Tyson started his business venture from his dorm room in Boston by picking up some freelance jobs on Upwork. Landing more and more clients through Upwork and word of mouth, Lucas earned over 6 figures in his first year. Yearning to take it even further, he then decided to put up his online training center focused on paid advertising – Growth Cave, a company that does advertising to assist companies in increasing their online site traffic. Today, Lucas manages over $50,000 in ad spend for multiple clients, all because he taught himself Facebook Ads through YouTube.

This young entrepreneur designed Growth Cave to help businesses and other entrepreneurs grow online through 1-on-1 consulting and extensive online training to teach them the most about online paid advertising. Lucas Lee-Tyson and his team work with digital businesses and entrepreneurs including online marketers to help them generate, nurture and convert new leads and customers with smart online advertising.

Looking back on his journey, Lucas admits that it wasn’t easy at first. He recalls earning his first dollar online after 3 months of grinding. After that point, he got hooked and continued with a variety of internet side hustles. He had an affiliate blog for a while called StreetSumo, which helped people in the sneaker/streetwear space find cheap, affordable alternatives to popular trends. SreetSumo drove over $85,000 in revenue to the Amazon Affiliate Program.

Lucas Lee-Tyson even tried starting a lead generation agency during his spring semester in 2018. But, due to the lack of the necessary sales skills to succeed, this venture failed. He was terrified of getting on the phone with clients which greatly reflected on his wavering tone. After 2 months of not getting a single client, the business died.

Whether he says it or not, we can conclude that Lucas Lee-Tyson’s dedication and dauntless spirit, plus his amazing intellect at a young age, brought him to where he is now. If there’s one takeaway we’d like to stress out, it’s to never grow tired of experimenting and discovering new ideas and to always get started.
