The future of remote work is hybrid with employees spending some days in the office and others working remotely, but there are concerns when letting workers pick which days they will work remotely, writes Nicholas Bloom in the Harvard Business Review. One concern is remote employees can feel excluded and the second concern is risk to diversity; certain groups of people are more interested in working from home while remote work can lead to fewer promotions. Bloom is the William Eberle Professor of Economics at Stanford University.
