DEMO Architects is a Brooklyn-based team working on Residential Ground-up and Renovation projects in New York, New Jersey, and Maine. Our work has been featured in print and online publications including Architectural Digest, and ArchDaily.

In the works are several ground-up residential projects in Upstate New York, mostly using the principles of Passive House construction, and small interior renovations in New York and Brooklyn. The candidate will be working closely with the firm’s two partners on all phases of these projects, from Schematic Design to Construction Administration.

We are working remotely, but hope to commence working together soon in our Greenpoint, Brooklyn office. Preference will be given to candidates who will eventually be able to work in person after everyone is safely vaccinated. 

The ideal applicant’s curriculum should include: 

1. Experience in Construction Documents and detailing, with a particular focus on wood-framed structured

2. Proficiency in Revit 2020, Revit 360, Autocad, and Rhino

3.  Knowledge of International Building Code and basic knowledge of construction standards  

4.  Ability to work independently, find solutions proactively, and collaborate over email and Zoom with other team members and consultants

5. Excellent communication, organizational and administrative skills

6. Authorization to work in the United States

7. A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture

The compensation will be based on the applicant’s skills and experience
